Stalker Noises Of The Zone
SPOILERS What was the hidden concept?? I think the movie Stalker with its strong symbolism can be interpreted in the context of the Soviet era when religion was brutally suppressed. “The zone”/religion is a place that provides a comfortable sanctuary from the material dull life, and is guarded from entering by the military/ communist authorities. It came to exist from a meteorite/ a heavenly message to earth. For the stalker/ the religious man, it represents home and comfort, although he always enters it with fear to make it/God angry. The zone/ religion has its own natural laws/miracles that defies logic, but you have to get along with.
It's faked using crytek or unreal engine with the gun being a asset and hud being edited in video. Stalker captives of the zone diary 1 artur frank S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Life of The Zone is an add-on for Call of Chernobyl 1.5 R6 that looks build upon the foundation it has strongly.
It promises a “room”/paradise were your innermost wishes come true. The road/ life work to reach the room/paradise is tough and requires guidance from a stalker/ religious man. The existence of the room/ paradise has been always challenged by science/the professor and philosophy/the writer, and despite that they try to explore the facts of religion, and have some understanding for it, they could not accept it at the end.
Science/the professor was ready to destroy what he could not rationalize, and from the standpoint of the stalker/religious man, science/the professor and philosophy/the writer are completely ignorant despite their knowledge. The stalker personal life/ the religious man life is not materially fulfilling and may be disappointing. The daughter may represent the outcome of following religion blindly, the mind/body may be crippled to move freely but it may have sensitivity and mysticism not owned by others. Through the film I had the sense that there was in fact nothing to the zone. It was all in their heads. We never see any real traps. Nothing actually happens.
At some point you just get to think that the Stalker is really either crazy or a con man. Or maybe they were missing special effects. The ambiguity is left there, hanging.
Its just like religion. No one really sees the miracles. We are led around by holy men to tell us of unseen dangers and great rewards. We are supposed, I think, to think that the three of them did not go into the room. When Monkey starts pushing glasses around at the end it all becomes clear: the zone is real. The Stalker went in and his inner hope was that Monkey would be able to take care of herself. “In the last scene, we see that the daughter Monkey has telekinetic powers: she moves glasses across a table without touching them. What does it mean? Only Tarkovsky knows.”It means that when you are a child you, you can imagine anything unfettered by society, friends, religion, your parents, work etc.
Your beliefs on what can be done are not distorted, repressed.there is still wonder and self exploration discoverythe imagination is free, until you you discover you are a human being on lifelong probation. Watched this for the first time today.
Love your ideas, Hatem. Seems dead on. Couple of notes: Isn’t it interesting how they seemed so UNafraid of the guard’s gunfire with it’s obvious threat but were petrified of rumored unseen traps/threats in the zone.

Also, I thought this to be a very revealing look into Russian life and attitudes, especially the wife’s monologue. I found the idea of sorrow being the key to (apparently occasional) happiness very intriguing. She believed that without the horrible circumstances of their life, they could never know even a little happiness and therefore would have been worse off had they been like everyone else. I dont believe the movie has an easy explanation and paralellism with religion and god.
